I am an Elementary School Teacher who creates lessons targeted at learning English for Grades Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th. I have small groups in my classroom for each grade level so my English Learners can learn our language and be successful both academically in school and in every day life as Americans. The goal is for them to become responsible citizens who participate in our community, feel a sense of belonging, and give back when the time comes.
My students all have another language they speak at home which is their Native Language. There are many different cultures and languages present at our school, but during the school day we all come together to learn English as well as the American culture. The majority of our students come from low income families and are appreciative of any item given to them at school because they do not have much at home. We are located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
