I am the reading coach at an inner city school consisting of approximately 55% Hispanic students and 45% African American students. We are one of the poorest schools in Los Angeles. We are 100% free lunch, Title I, and scoring in the lowest percentile. Our community is located in a neighborhood where it is a constant battle just to keep the graffiti removed and the students safe.

About my class
