My students are diverse. I work in a Title I dual language school where my students are not afforded all the necessities they need to be successful. I want to help all students see themselves and others in the books we read. It is my goal to foster an environment where students are loving, compassionate, and empathetic. It is also my goal to change the way they see the world and to minimize the disadvantages they may face. I want them to be successful with manners and social skills in whatever environment they are in. So, that they can change the world and know how to navigate in any setting. I want them to feel confident and sure in who they are and I want them to treat everyone with the dignity and respect they deserve.
