My 6th grade math students are energetic, kind, and full of heart. Every day, they come into our classroom ready to learn, even when the work is challenging. They encourage each other, offer help when someone is struggling, and celebrate each other’s successes. Their kindness creates a classroom environment that feels more like a family.
What I admire most about them is their resilience. Many face challenges outside of school, but they show up each day with positivity and determination. Our classroom is a space where they feel safe, supported, and inspired to grow—not just in math, but as people. I feel so lucky to be their teacher and to witness their growth every day.
