These STEM kits will give my 4th and 5th grade scientists the chance for hands-on learning activities that will encourage higher level thinking skills. Students will work in collaborative groups to complete the activities which will help build self esteem and communication skills. Each kit focuses on national science standards based on life science, physical science, earth and space science, and engineering practices. My students need the opportunity to share their love of science and encourage each other to extend their thinking through hands-on exploration. The activities in these STEM tubs will be reused year after year to encourage the curiosity of my future scientists too.
