I am implementing a Readers Workshop in my classroom and use many leveled books. I am asking for a book bin storage center and additional book bins. These book bins will help organize books by levels, making it easier for my students the choose books that are just right. Books will be clearly labeled and save time when students are "shopping" for books to take home to read.
My students are growing a love for reading and writing. They need ready access to books and audio books.
I am also asking for a listening center that will allow struggling readers to hear wonderful stories. Audio books will help them hear stories that they normally would not hear. My students are English Learners and most of their parents do not read in English, with the help of audio books my kids will hear great models of what reading sounds like.
