My ninth grade English students are fun, typical teenagers! We live in a rural area, which sometimes limits their cultural and academic opportunities. Academically, my students need a lot of motivation to be successful. Many are reluctant readers who see reading only as a skill used to complete mundane tasks. My students are at a pivotal point in their educations, and they need to learn the true value of reading!
