My students come from low income families. Families that can't afford school clothes year round, food on the weekends and stability. They do the best with what they have been given, but most of them deserve much more. My school holds over 1100 students with at least 99% on free or reduced lunch. My principal tries with everything to give them what other schools have, we all do. My students come ready to learn, and succeed. We try to break the cycle poverty in their lives with providing them a good education. I have all ethnicity's in my classroom. They come as far as from Africa and Korea and speak many different languages. My classroom is really a true mixing bowl!
