As Head Teacher in a Head Start program, I proudly serve preschoolers ages 3–4 from low-income families in Long Beach. My students are curious, resilient, and eager to learn, but many face barriers such as poverty, housing instability, or limited access to books and supplies. Head Start gives them more than academics—it provides structure, meals, health support, and a safe place to grow. Each day, we focus on building confidence, early literacy, social-emotional skills, and a love of learning. With community support, I can ensure every child has the tools they need to thrive, no matter their circumstances.
