Many of our 9th graders come to high school without an email account. Aside from their cell phone, many do not have access to technology at home. In order to prepare them for the rigorous demands of college and career, it is essential that they are interacting with computers on a daily basis.
Our classrooms are inclusive, which requires significant differentiation in order to meet all of their unique needs.
With computers, we will be able to provide students with targeted resources and materials that will drive their success regardless of their literacy level upon entry to high school. They will use Google Drive, Newsela, Schoology, Audiobooks, and many other resources in order to accelerate and monitor their own learning.
