I teach first graders who are eager to learn, are inquisitive, and interesting. Even with their limitation at home my students arrive happy and eager to learn new things on a daily basis. My students come from disadvantaged backgrounds both in terms of economic and personal struggles. In addition to their socio-economic disadvantages many of my students have a language barrier. Our school is also one of the oldest schools in the region; therefore technology to improve the students’ learning abilities is sorely lacking. These students are continually growing up with limited resources and I hope to assist them by including technological resources that will allow them to grow and learn in the classroom. They are hindered enough in life that I want to provide them with advantages in the classroom that will let them feel empowered and strengthen their knowledge for the future.
About my class
