Our students are a very diverse group of students. Our school is over 60% Hispanic and most of our student population is on free or reduced lunches. Many of my students are taking high level classes including college and advanced placement classes. Our students are taking these advanced classes, but are not up to date with advanced materials needed for these classes.
We want our students to do well in these courses and be able to compete with the high achieving districts. This year many of our students are enrolled in my advanced chemistry class; it is the highest amount enrolled in this class in the school's history. I would like to provide them with the greatest and safest laboratory equipment available and affordable.
