Step into our classroom and you’ll find curious, energetic second graders at a very special stage in their learning journey. They are growing more independent each day and are excited to strengthen their reading skills.
You’ll see students gathered on the carpet for read-alouds, working in small groups to tackle tricky words, and proudly practicing their fluency. During independent reading time, they love choosing books that spark their interests and help them see themselves in the stories they read.
Our classroom is a safe, encouraging space where effort is celebrated and mistakes are part of learning. Most of all, you’ll see students who are eager to grow and develop a lifelong love of reading!
