I work to balance structure with flexibility, giving students opportunities for guided support through Compass or pod time while also encouraging independence in practicing skills and completing assignments. I prioritize both academic growth and emotional support, making sure students feel cared for and prepared to succeed. Collaborative discussions, reflection on learning, and classroom participation are central to my approach, helping students take risks in their writing, explore ideas, and develop strong literacy skills in a positive, encouraging environment.
