Our school is in a low income community and the resources are limited. My classroom has very old computers that are always breaking down. The software is out of date and they cannot access most interactive websites. Nevertheless, my students are so grateful for any computer time they get. They are very patient and appreciative.
Despite the many setbacks, our students have shown so much progress over the past few years. With the hard work of teachers, administrators, and support staff, our CST scores have increased significantly.
I believe in our students. That is why I am asking for Tablets. I know their learning will soar with the use of up to date technology that will meet ALL individual needs.
I also believe in our teachers, parents, and community. We have shown that we can achieve. We can achieve despite many setbacks. But with the proper resources, like Tablets, I am confident that our students can SOAR!
