Kindergartners love to explore and learn. Problem solving is vital in this young age to build confidence in their own abilities. The Gingerbread Man STEM Kit allows students to problem solve with water. The CD/cassette player allows students to listen to stories and learn songs on any Bluetooth device or in small groups. Counting puzzles help students learn the counting sequence by solving the picture. Students LOVE keys! Counting keys--a real-world item--is a fun way to solidify one-to-one correspondence. The laminating pouches help our materials last longer with many hands using them. The Mystery Capsules help students explore sounds. Students love to "fish" for items. The fishing poles and the sight word fish will help students become more fluent in sight words reading. Learning to build sentences with the sentence kit I've requested will give students more tactile experiences in making sentences. Last, students enjoy a game entitled "Beat the Timer". Right now, our timer is very small. With the large timer, students will be able to read the time more easily increasing the excitement and play in reading letters, words, and numbers fluently.
With the items I've requested, students will have a more complete experience within our classroom to learn through guided discovery. These items lend themselves to exploration and experience. Creativity is at the heart of learning. Students can create concrete connections within their brains, igniting their learning and rocketing to more learning! Thank you.
