I work in a Special Education classroom for MOCI students in HS My students ages are 15 to 18 and grades 10th to 12th. . They are a great group of kids who work very hard in class. We go out into the community and take trips such as to restaurants so they learn about ordering and budgeting their money. We also go shopping at stores such as Meijer and Walmart. We buy items according to what the students want to cook during a particular month. We get to participate in adaptive PE and this allows the students to participate in physical activity with accommodations to their various needs. We also go to a nearby school and do a vocational activity once a week making paper. Each student has a different job and they eventually get a chance to do all the jobs on the paper making line. I am sorry but I am not allowed to upload photos of my students. Thank you for your consideration.
