My students are from under privileged family's living in low income areas. Many students come to school not being able to have even the basic materials yet we expect them to think outside the box and be creative in ways that they can not even begin to understand because they lack the materials. Over 90% of my students are on free or reduced lunch programs. I cater to a 98% Hispanic culture that most do not have access to what can push them into a more creative learning experience.
