Good readers often excel in other academic areas. The books that I have requested represent a wide range of subject matter and will appeal to a wide range of students. My goal is to introduce my students to literature in such a way that they will become lifelong readers. Students will read, discuss and dissect these titles by making connections to themselves, other books and the world. Materials will be used for independent reading, and, eventually, I would like to begin an after school book club using titles that have proven popular with my students. Your support of this project would be greatly appreciated!
