Children need to move! Flexible seating, such as bouncy balls, floor seats, lap desks, wobble stools and standing desks allows primary age students to wobble, balance, stand, or lean which has many physical benefits and keeps their minds more alert and focused.
Increased student engagement, higher motivation and academic performance, and improved overall behavior are benefits of flexible seating. Flexible seating will allow my students to control their surroundings giving them the autonomy and comfort to stay engaged and focused while learning. Increased collaboration, creativity and classroom discussions are added benefits of flexible seating.
