My students are great kids that love to learn. They are not students that come from an impoverished part of the valley, but they do face challenges at school. Some struggle with reading and others struggle with math. But, they all would make large gains with a deeper understanding of what they read. This understanding would carry them through all subjects and give them a great start to upper grade reading.
