I really enjoyed my class this last year. They had a lot of energy and were often willing to learn and try new things. Many of them are very creative. Our school has a high percentage (around 80%) of low socioeconomic students. My classroom was about 1/3 English language learners (ELL). While this provides us with some challenges, they often rise up to meet that challenge.
My students are encouraged to work cooperatively on assignments and on various projects. They are really doing well getting to know their teammates, learning problem solving and communication skills that will carry them into the next grades and in life.
