We have no technology in our classrooms which creates a lag in our students learning in today's society.
The laptops and tablets will provide an opportunity for research (we have no librarian), opportunity for practice on the PARCC (state standardized testing), allow for students to utilize a website called MyOn to enhance their reading skills (most students read below grade level) and be given an opportunity to utilize material that isn't only pen/paper. The computer technology will also offer an opportunity to create learning centers that are lacking in the classroom for children to receive effective 21st century materials to keep them relevant to their peers. This will improve our students lives and their learning tremendously.
