Welcome to Mr. Jacobi's classroom! As a first grade teacher in the Chicago Public Schools, I strive to meet the needs of each and every child who spends the year in my classroom. I believe every student can be successful in school and have fun at the same time.
At Ravenswood, we use an inclusion model of education. This means every student, with special needs or not, has a place in the general education classroom. You won't find students being pulled from the classroom and isolated from their peers. The model at Ravenswood supports ALL learners.
Furthermore, we enhance the traditional academic model by integrating arts into our daily curriculum. By using drama techniques, dance methods, and a variety of visual arts styles, we give students the opportunity to access the material on multiple levels.
