Approximately half of my students live within the school's boundaries; yet, many students board school buses from faraway distances throughout the school district. Most tell me they rise at 5:00 a.m. to ensure they catch their school buses by 6:00 a.m. and they return home as late as 5:00 p.m. The majority of learning, exploration, and inquiry takes place at our school site. By the time my students get home they are exhausted after a 12 hour day. My students are curious, happy, and motivated learners.
