The materials that we have selected will impact the production value of our show, Aladdin Kids. We will practice for more than 17 weeks to put on 2 shows for our families and community. The students work so hard during this time and it is very abstract to them until we show them the costumes, props, and sets. When we show our kids the beautiful costumes, props and set materials that we are choosing because of this project, they will be amazed and so motivated. Last year was the first time most of them had ever been a part of something like this and when we gave them their costumes, they were transformed.
The Disney Musicals in schools program has enhanced the culture and climate of our school and these beautiful costumes and props will enhance the experience for our students. Even though the show is put on by 3rd - 5th graders, our whole school participates by transforming the hallways into the scenes from the show and by lessons within the classroom relating to the show. We are proud to be part of such a program and grateful for the support that we will get through this campaign.
