Do you remember when Pluto no longer became a planet?
My 7th grade science classes are mixed with students who have a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and academic abilities. The students venture to school from homes deep in woods, farms, ranches, and town. About 55% of our students are on free or reduced price lunch. There are students in the classroom who are extreme non-readers all the way through very gifted students. These 7th grade students attend a middle school that houses approximately 600 6th and 7th graders. This is the second year that they get to truly experience a science classroom.
