My students come from an infamous community that is a high-needs, high-poverty area. Many of my students do not realize the great joy of reading and do not have access to books. I have designed a classroom library with a wealth of books at all reading levels that my kids love to explore; now we just need to make it cozy, comfortable, and warm! The rug will make reading exciting and interactive as we can use the squares to reference our reading.
