My students will be so excited to read and practice their fluency with these colorful readers during small group/center time. At this moment they are using black and white photocopied books that are falling apart. With these books, students can use the illustrations to help them decode words and to also help with comprehension questions.
Center time is an essential learning part of the day and these materials will benefit the students immensely. When not with me during small group, the students will be at their center working independently. The listening centers materials will help the students with step by step directions, focus on comprehension of stories and phonics. I have also included wipe boards with lines. I believe the lack of in person school has really put a struggle on handwriting. With all phonics lessons, I try to incorporate handwriting and the wipe boards would really benefit the students.
