Kindergarten is magical! My classroom is alive with curiosity. My students share a love for learning and each other. I am so proud of my students and their backgrounds. I teach a Sheltered Instruction Kindergarten classroom, which means the student population in my classroom is mostly English Language Learners. This is a researched based model specifically designed to create a safe place for students to build skills in English with others who share the experience. This allows students with low language to feel safe experimenting not only with academic challenges but also skills needed to build their understanding and use of English.
