My students come from an inner city background in a urban elementary school in Kentucky. They all have significant learning disabilities and severe sensory issues which greatly affect their education both in and out of the classroom. Despite this, they work so hard and have such a great attitude when it comes to school. They only ask that someone believe in them and I have done just that.
Each of the ten students in my classroom will be with me from kindergarten through fifth grade. Along the way, they have tremendous opportunities to explore the world around them, something that we wouldn't have without school. They are all delightful in their own way and are a joy to work with.
