I work in a wonderful school with a great faculty and staff. The students are a joy to be with daily. I have a supportive group of parents in my classroom. My students are great and truly enjoy teaching them. One goal I have for my students is to be fluent readers by the end of second grade. I want them to feel confident in their reading abilities. One focus for my small group instruction is fluency. We work on rate, accuracy, and expression when reading. As their fluency increases, their reading comprehension skills will also improve.
