Our school is located in a suburb about 30-40 miles west of Chicago. Twenty-two of my students are of Mexican heritage, and one student is from El Salvador. All but two of these students qualify for free lunch. The mobility rate in our school is approximately 25%, however I have been fortunate enough to have all of my students all year. This group is hardworking and dedicated. They want to learn and just can't stop talking about how they want to see baby chicks hatch.
