I teach in an urban alternative public high school in Utah. We serve at-risk youth. Most of our students qualify for free lunch. We are incredibly diverse. Over 80 languages are spoken in our building. I work with 9th-12th graders. Many of my students are teen moms.
I am a first year teacher. I have already purchased many materials for my classroom, but these materials are not enough. These students deserve more.
