We are third, fourth and fifth graders, attending a rural public school of over 8 hundred elementary students. Eighty percent of us live in poverty. Many of us attend school here in the United States, having left most of our families far away in places like El Salvador and the Marshall Islands. Some of us haven't seen our parents in years. Sometimes, we forget what it was like where our families came from, although we have unique traditions and celebrations that are worth sharing with the rest of the world. We want to know more about our roots and be able to share that knowledge with you! Thank you for taking the time to help children around the US.
