My students live in a low-socioeconomic area. Most of them are language learners and their parents do not speak or read in English. Lots of families live together in houses or apartment buildings. All students receive free lunch at the school. There are a lot of families who do not have the use of a computer or the Internet at home.
Despite all of these situations surrounding them, my students are the sweetest kids and always try hard at everything they do. They want to do well; however, life sometimes gets in the way for them.
