My Transitional Kindergarten students have very little experience with print and numeracy and need many opportunities for practice. They live in a low income area and attend a school where every child receives free meals. Many of the students do not have access to educational toys and games at home. They are also "pioneers" as the first mandated TK students in our school, as the state moves forward in changing the Kindergarten cut-off date.
