My students are truly amazing, curious, enthusiastic, and energetic learners! They bring an enormous range of talents and skills to our classroom everyday, yet they also bring unique needs and challenges for learning. Their challenges may be well documented, like autism or learning disabilities, or may be more difficult to define, like attention issues and sensory needs, but every individual has qualities that may sometimes interfere with successful learning.
My students eagerly share their insights, compassion, and humor in our classroom each day. In return, they deserve to have their needs met in respectful and meaningful ways. As we navigate 1st grade together, I am always looking for strategies and tools that will support the growth of all of my little learners.
I am amazed daily by the growth and achievements of my students; first graders can be very creative problem solvers! My goal is to provide tools and strategies that will empower my students to solve problems for themselves in the classroom, and have greater investment in their own learning.
