My kindergarten students attend a low social economic school in an urban area. It is surrounded by crime and poverty. The majority of my students have a 12 hour school day by attending both the before and after school programs since their parents work. Despite their long day, my kindergarten students always come to school yearning to learn. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts and lack of resources, they sometimes do not get the opportunity to participate in certain sports since the community does not offer it to them. For that reason I try my best to expose them to as many activities and sports that I am able to with the resources and space I have.
