My students are from the low-income status and many are living below poverty. Our city has a large Hispanic community including working-class Hispanics and immigrant Latin American families. Our kindergarten class is called Kindergarten Collaboration Class. In the class, we have both regular general education students as well as students with disabilities working together to learn the kindergarten curriculum. Due to budget cuts and not enough funding, we do not have funds to buy materials needed to have students enjoy outdoor activities. During the outdoor playtime, many students wait a long time to get a turn to ride a bike or run around because they do not have things to play with.
