Ms. Coffield's K class is working hard to learn all that we can. In order to meet us where we are, we need a variety of tools to deepen our abilities to write, draw, and document our ideas. We love to learn and grow through play, and need more tools and toys to grow with us. We will use the art supplies to draw and write about what we are learning in ELA and share with each other the pieces of our lives that we enjoy outside of school. We will use the board games and toys to deepen our language and mathematical thinking, as well as communicating and negotiating with our classmates. These new tools with help support the Language, Literacy, Artist, and Mathematical growth of all of students by allowing for a variety of ways for them to document and illustrate their learning. Every student enters the classroom with their own unique set of skills, abilities, and areas of growth. This project will help to meet the needs and learning styles of each student where they are, and allow them to feel confident in giving everything their "best try!"
