As a teacher from a high poverty Title 1 School, I am continually inspired by the joy and kindness that my students show. I am a sixth grade teacher of students from diverse backgrounds. More than half of the students in our school are English Language Learners and over 85% are on Free/Reduced Meals. Although many of our students come from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, we strive to never let this come between us and our successes. I hope to give these students as many sources as they many need in order to become successful both in and outside of our classroom.
