I teach first grade (ages 6-7). The students at this age are very excited about learning new things! They love to listen to stories, but it is also very beneficial for them to learn from non-fiction text. Non-fiction is very exciting! I would like to be able to use more books to teach the concepts that we are required to teach in first grade.
