My students qualify under students with disabilities. Each one of them present challenges that are being addressed through Individual Education Plans. These challenges range from academics to non-academic areas of needs.Their disabilities negatively impact their participation in the general education Physical Education. However, these students are motivated learners who have interests in physical activities. They love playing games and learning dance steps. Through various games, sports and dances, these students are developing physical strength, coordination, agility, balance, and loco-motor skills which directly impact their learning and boosts their self-confidence. These are functional skills that will impact their lives and definitely their future. These students receive free lunches as our school is in low income community. The school's population is mostly Hispanics. Also, the school has been a Program Improvement (PI) School for more than 5 years.
