Students will create art inspired by different cultures and time periods, such as a collaborative mural for Hispanic Heritage Month utilizing construction paper, paint, and paintbrushes. Some projects are just for fun, like neon space drawings that use black paper. The materials needed for these, and other projects, will allow students who lack access to art materials to engage in the artistic process.
Many of the students who will use these materials do not have access to art-making at home. Every day I have students tell me "art day is my favorite day", so please help me make art even more awesome.
