Sitting in different areas of the library to read independently and enjoy a book is something I want ALL my students to experience. The reality is that my students who struggle with ADHD aren't able to sit still long enough to read and enjoy a book. This must change.
The pedal exercisers I am requesting will allow my high energy students to exhaust extra energy, so they can focus on reading and enjoying a book.
Just being able to focus on reading will make an astronomical impact on the lives of my library students. When you are able to focus on reading, you learn so many things you couldn't before.
