Having the ability to play ukuleles in our music room will allow students to have a hands-on music making experience that is joyful, constructive and inspiring! Since we have a large diverse student population, I will color code all the instruments to support all the various learners and ability levels.
The students will pursue developmentally appropriate goals, like rhythmic strumming and pitch-matching as they strum and sing favorite songs. We will also use the ukuleles for individual song writing.
This will also help students to develop their motor skills and step following skills!
