Students will use these iPads to explain their understanding of books and novels read in class by creating culminating projects that will include video (created in iMovie) and soundtracks (created in Garageband). Students will create alternative endings to books read in class; such as Wonder, Bridge to Terabithia, Esperanza Rising, and others.
Imagine students presenting their understanding of weather patterns by simulating a news weather broadcast! By using a green screen (which our school fortunately has), students will be able to showcase their reading skills by creating reader's theater videos, complete with sound effects and accompanying music, that can be accessed by other students to further increase their understanding of books read in class.
