My students are predominantly Latino and are from a high-poverty area in Southern California. They attend a Title I pilot school in its second year of conception. Even though they have financial lows, they have hearts that are priceless. They've learned to work around and with what they have to the best of their knowledge, but sometimes that's not enough.
