My students need manipulatives that focus on the alphabet and letter recognition during our Phonics time in ELA. Our students will use these materials to explore the letters of the alphabet plus their sounds and then words! These manipulatives will be used during ELA times whole group and with those students who are in small groups. They will be able to use these manipulatives during our whole group and small group time, learning letters and sounds as they connect them to the object they are holding in their hands. For instance, letter A a for alligator (showing the toy alligator). Then, transferring the name "alligator" on their circle map. Students practice letter recognition, letter sounds, and writing.
Your generous donation to our project will assist students to have visuals that they can connect to the letter and sound being learned for that day. Students will become stronger in phonemic awareness leading to strong readers and writers.
